Emma is a former PEDAL PhD student funded by the LEGO Foundation and Cambridge Trust and supervised by Prof Jenny Gibson.
Emma’s PhD focused on understanding autistic play and autism diagnostic assessment from a strengths-based or neurodiversity-informed perspective.
As part of this, Emma worked on two interview-based studies: one on autistic perspectives and experiences of play, and another on professionals’ views of strengths-based autism diagnostic assessment.
